Model Sample Answer 1 Band 8 - Individual greed and selfishness have been the basis of modern society. Some people think that we must return to the older and more traditional respect for the family and the local community in order to create a better world to live in. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

“The idea of a family is one of the most basic models of what a better world can be like.” I agree with this statement as a family is the backbone of an individual’s life. Indeed! It is the most expensive resource that no currency can afford.
To start with, Life in the past was transparent and admirable as there use to be physical conversations among members of the tribe. To be precise, people use to dine together at least once a day and also used to share their both systole and diastole of the day while spending quality time at night. Nevertheless, parents can also monitor their children’s activity through this direct communication but also can provide guidance if necessary.

Undeniably, my ancestors had better living conditions. The main reason is that they were supportive of each other. In the past, traditional families comprised all age groups to have a better experience of life. But nowadays, because of the craving for money, people are not spending quality time with their families. Therefore, people are becoming more and more selfish as they want to be first on the list of rich people in society.

In conclusion, it is proven that past life was more valuable than that of the present day. There is a need for reverence, love, concern, and generosity in this current era, wherein people are dying to make money with acceleration. I recommend that hankering for wealth is appropriate till a certain restraint only or else it will maim all.

Model Sample Answer 2 Band 7.5 - Individual greed and selfishness have been the basis of modern society. Some people think that we must return to the older and more traditional respect for the family and the local community in order to create a better world to live in. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Once William E. Gladstone said, “Selfishness is the greatest curse for humans.”In this contemporary era, Gluttony and self-indulgence are the root causes of almost every dilemma. Many people opine that we should reinstate old customs and historical respect for the family to innovate this competitive world into a better place to live in. I strongly agree with this statement as the family is more important than money.

Firstly, with the flourishment of science and technology in the last few years, the gluttony of mankind for luxurious life has increased. Additionally, the struggle for being the richest person in civilization led one to do much hard work. Hence, those people are unable to provide much time for their families. To specify, they have greed for earning money. As a result, old aspects were getting extinct and the loss of orientation occurred.

Furthermore, making money has become the first preference for most individuals instead of spending quality time with their families. However, if humans start obeying ancient customs again, then the result would surely be fruitful. In fact, their younger generation will grow mature enough than ever and will immensely respect them in their future. Otherwise, the situation will become worse and it would be nearly impossible to handle.

In conclusion, money is mandatory to fulfill the basic needs of humans. But family should be the priority as it gives us strength and immense support. Money can buy everything except family and appreciation. That's why the first goal always should be a family person instead of being the richest one in society.

Model Sample Answer 3 Band 7 - Individual greed and selfishness have been the basis of modern society. Some people think that we must return to the older and more traditional respect for the family and the local community in order to create a better world to live in. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is undeniable that the expansion of industrialization has affected the lifestyle of individuals. In past, traditional customs have been the societal norm for communities whereas now individuals consider wealth as first priority. I agree with the former statement as a family is a precious element.

To begin with, private life had become a need for many people across the countries. To illustrate this, Juveniles were giving less respect, value, and care to their adults. Also, youngsters used to neglect elder’s advice about their professional or personal life and many felt regret in the near future. However, in past, adolescents used to consider their adults’ advice before taking any decision and that's the only reason, they never used to regret their decision.

In my opinion, my Ancestors were living a better and happier life as they were the helping hands of each other in any situation. For a better life, I believe the old custom format should be followed again. For instance, parents should provide aid to their young ones, Youngsters should give value and respect to their ancestors, and many more. If all the members of the tribe will support each other, then this world can be a worthy place to survive.

To sum up, it is true that people in the past were living their best life as they were kind and supportive to each other. Nonetheless earning money is a need but we cannot neglect family for that. Family is the RAM data of the human system.

Model Sample Answer 4 Band 6.5 - Individual greed and selfishness have been the basis of modern society. Some people think that we must return to the older and more traditional respect for the family and the local community in order to create a better world to live in. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Greed and selfishness have become social norm. Many people believe that family is the lifeline of an individual. But in this current era importance of family is replaced by wealth. Also, old traditional aspects were on verge of extinction. This essay will discuss this issue in detail.

To start with, the craving for earning money and being ranked first on the list of richest people is increasing for individuals. Because of this, old customs and traditional aspects were getting extinct. Collecting wealth has become a priority instead of spending time with close ones. To illustrate, in my family, I am very close to my sibling and when used to spend the whole day with each other but nowadays, I used to meet my brother only on weekends as we both are working.

Furthermore, lifestyle in past was different. Members of the tribe used to dine together, stand by each other in every situation, used to provide aid to their young ones by paying their education fees. Most importantly, quality time with the community is their priority. However, in the current era, youngsters use to make their decisions solely, spent just an hour or two with family during weekends only, used to think about their savings and collecting resources instead of helping others.

To conclude, in my opinion, the new generation should obey the past traditional aspects as many factors are of immense importance than money. According to my viewpoint, these measures will surely bring some change in an individual’s behavior and will provide knowledge about life skills.
