Model Sample Answer 1 Band 8 - In recent years many small shops have closed, because customers travel to large shopping centres or malls to do their shopping

In recent years many small shops have closed, because people prefer to buy their entire needs under one roof, so they prefer to go to malls and departmental stores for shopping. Also they were able to compare and buy one thing in different brands.

Some popular brands are solely supplied in shops and shopping centres. Some brands  are  satisfactory with their quality. Comparing small shops with shopping centres and purchasing malls, people would choose buying in department stores and purchasing centres because they can get a wide variety of merchandise and unique sorts of manufacturers for one product at one spot. Nowadays departmental stores are open at each and every place, where people can also get discounts in departmental  shops and purchasing malls. Not solely the households, also the kid  toys, creative household things are available in buying department stores and departmental shops and also humans sense the buying mall as a time out spot, human beings can do shopping, playing games and theatres are additionally available.

People would keep away from small shops in local areas even if they have exceptional manufacturers and large collections of specific products, but they have a minimal collection of products or the rate of the product is no longer worth it. That's why  humans avoid shopping at neighbourhood shops.Apart  from all these things humans choose buying centres because they can get all their wishes at one precise region like households, cosmetics, dress etc. they had been attracted by way of advertisements too, In my factor of view it is a high quality development, most of the people pick to do purchasing in malls and departmental stores.

Model Sample Answer 2 Band 7.5 - In recent years many small shops have closed, because customers travel to large shopping centres or malls to do their shopping

In this modern world nowadays local shops (small shops) are closed due to loss of customers, people prefer much more shopping malls than local shops. According to my knowledge and my opinion is that this is a  positive trend in this society. Local shops are not constructed according to any plan, they just opened  the shop for their financial need. Local shops are constructed on the roadside without any  basic facilities which are needed for customers like parking, customers prefer peaceful shopping without any disturbance. and shopping areas must be more spacious. But those facilities are available in shopping centres, department stores. In shopping malls and in departmental stores they can park their vehicles without any fear in the parking areas.

In shopping malls or at departmental stores if the customers buy any dress they can try it trail rooms are available there once before they buy it, like this facilities are also available in huge shopping centres, but it is not there in local shops, also now some local shops also have this facilities even though they do not prefer those local shop. Yes, shopping malls, departmental stores' products are much  costlier than local shops, even people know it but also they prefer shopping malls.

Some people always prefer to buy the best product even if it costs higher, mostly all imported goods and products are available only in malls and shopping centres, people who like those products firstly prefer to go to malls and other shopping centres.

Model Sample Answer 3 Band 7 - In recent years many small shops have closed, because customers travel to large shopping centres or malls to do their shopping

With their  busy schedule people are attracted towards shopping malls that have a wide variety of goods and where they can satisfy their needs under one roof. In this modern world most of them prefer shopping malls because of their convenience and easy to  buy products with best and good quality with offers.  On the other hand, the small, neighbourhood stores are shutting down / going out of business due to the attractive shopping environment of big malls. Many shopkeepers are left with no work as the shops are less visited by the customers

Firstly, working people don't have much time to buy each product at separate shops, so they prefer shopping malls, where they can see products in different sections under one roof,(especially  kids toys, maternity clothes etc all those things under one roof,) by this they can save their time and energy. The availability of exciting offers on shopping malls makes people grab the deal to save their money.

In shopping malls the attention of staff is very good, the way they help us to zero-in on our choice and fulfilling all the requisites, at the same time people have their own space to  go about and pull things on their own without any assistance or any other second decision from others.some people prefer shopping malls and departmental store for their prestige, they have many option for each products. Even shopping malls seem to be an entertainment area where theatres, games and food courts are available.

Model Sample Answer 4 Band 6.5 - In recent years many small shops have closed, because customers travel to large shopping centres or malls to do their shopping

In recent years many small shops have closed not only because of customer interest, but also because of the losses they faced. At first they opened a shop to earn some profit. We could not say that every business can get profit only. Sometimes  shopkeepers also face losses, at that time they desire to wind up the business and they desire to go to any company to earn by working.

Moreover, the daily expenses of running the shop are high for the owner and hence they are switching to other jobs to earn butter and bread. Furthermore, many uneducated  workers are getting unemployed or working at low wage rates. However, it is cumbersome for the small retailers to compete with the marts by presenting offers on shopping. Therefore, shopkeepers are bearing huge losses due to the attractive offers of marts.
Also in this modern world there are many online shopping websites to do service for people (like Jio mart, reliance etc). as food delivery websites these websites are used to buy groceries at the place where we are. Many people prefer these methods to do shopping without any difficulties.
In conclusion, the growing popularity of shopping malls is largely a positive development because they make shopping hassle free. However, malls often cause small stores to shut down and hence it is a negative development for them.
