Model Sample Answer 1 Band 7.5 -Influence of human beings on the world’s ecosystem is leading to the extinction of many species and loss of biodiversity. What are the primary causes of loss of biodiversity? What solution can you suggest to protect endangered species?
Mankind is the only species on Earth that is aware of its own actions. However, they tend to ignore the effects it causes, leading to the environmental catastrophe happening today, which is the loss of biodiversity and the extinction of animals. The prime causes of these events are overpopulation and deforestation. Some of the solutions that can be implemented to handle them include spreading awareness of the consequences and so on.
The continuous increase in population is both concerning and dangerous. Due to the rise in demand and consistent supply of the resources present, the essential resources are being overused. For instance, there is a lack of space to accommodate them. Hence, the people cut down forests to establish space for themselves. Trees are demolished, and in their place, skyscrapers stand. Deforestation has led animals and birds to become homeless and made a few species endangered, like the black buck, the white tiger, and many more. The fauna is forced to abandon their homes due to this, making them vulnerable to extinction.
To decrease the problems occurring due to them, the government should organise campaigns to spread awareness about the setbacks and how to contain them. Ensuring more and more people are aware of the outcome of their actions and reducing it. The government should implement austere laws to limit illegal activities like hunting, poaching, and so on. Protect the flora and fauna with firm boundaries, restricting unwanted movement in the closures.
To conclude, the impacts of human beings on the various ecosystems have caused a minority of wildlife to be vulnerable to extinction because of overpopulation and deforestation. To handle these, the government should have stringent legislation and preserve the animals in sanctuaries.

Model Sample Answer 2 Band 7.5 -Influence of human beings on the world’s ecosystem is leading to the extinction of many species and loss of biodiversity. What are the primary causes of loss of biodiversity? What solution can you suggest to protect endangered species?
Millions of species on earth, yet only one has dominated and delivered a significant impact on the majority of the planet, humans. Humanity has killed many species of flora and fauna in the relatively brief geological span of a little over 200,000 years that they have existed. The crisis is due to overpopulation, overexploitation of natural resources, pollution, and so on.
There are multiple reasons for the loss of biodiversity and the extinction of species. One of them being the constantly increasing population. With an increase in people, the need for space arises, leading to trees being cut down. Further, the constant overuse of resources like crude oil, coal, and many more is causing global warming. This is causing issues like glaciers melting, bushfires, and hurricanes. Consequently, the animals living in those areas are forced to find an alternative shelter for themselves. Another factor contributing is pollution; the various kinds of pollution are damaging nature more than mankind intended. For example, the chemical fertilisers are destroying the soil and minerals. And the plastic is causing the aquatic species to die.
Some crucial steps should be executed by the government to ensure the safety of the world's ecosystem, including the banishment of plastic goods, laws to restrict illegal hunting, and so on. The government should prohibit the use of plastic to eliminate the possibility of it ending up in the oceans. Strict laws are in place to prevent hunters from engaging in illegal activities.
In conclusion, it is past due to take the necessary measures to safeguard biodiversity. We are the only people who can save our planet. By acting responsibly, we can safeguard the affected species and biodiversity. After all, animals and humans share the same planet.

Model Sample Answer 3 Band 7 -Influence of human beings on the world’s ecosystem is leading to the extinction of many species and loss of biodiversity. What are the primary causes of loss of biodiversity? What solution can you suggest to protect endangered species?
Human actions are having tremendous effects on the world’s ecosystems. It has caused the endangerment of several species and the loss of biodiversity. Two of the core reasons for this event are global warming and illegal poaching. To address the issue of global warming, people should be encouraged to use eco-friendly products to reduce their impact on the environment.
Global warming is a situation that has arrived due to mankind. It brings about disasters like prolonged droughts, constantly rising sea levels, hurricanes, wildfires, and so on. Wildfires happen every year at various locations. For instance, the 2019–20 wildfires that broke out in Australia destroyed a massive part of the forest, forcing the animals to abandon their homes. Several koalas and kangaroos lost their lives due to it. Illegal annihilation of creatures for poaching is also to blame for animal extinction. People, for example, are killing Royal Bengal Tigers for their skin, causing their population to steadily decline.
To decrease the effects of global warming, people should take initiatives to travel in public transport vehicles, use hybrid or fuel efficient vehicles, and most importantly, recycle and reuse, as well as use energy saving alternatives for lighting fixtures. Restrictive laws should be laid down to prevent the illegal poaching of animals and the individuals caught should be punished severely. The wildlife should be protected away from human civilization in close enclosures where they can live in a similar habitat as they did previously in a forest.
To conclude, human ignorance and greed have disrupted ecosystems, resulting in biodiversity loss and the extinction of a number of animals. It has happened due to global warming and the illegal slaughter of animals. It can be contained by the government imposing strict laws and people responsibly utilising resources and being thoughtful towards the environment.

Model Sample Answer 4 Band 6.5 -Influence of human beings on the world’s ecosystem is leading to the extinction of many species and loss of biodiversity. What are the primary causes of loss of biodiversity? What solution can you suggest to protect endangered species?
The reckless and clumsy behaviour of humans has caused disruption in the world’s ecosystem, decreasing biodiversity, and making some species vulnerable to extinction. This has been a result of pollution caused by the companies and factories. Implementation of stringent rules and regulations will limit the damage and regenerate the environment.
Pollution and sewage disposal in the water are the leading causes of marine life deaths. Garbage, such as nylon, plastic, and polythene, is non-biodegradable waste that floats around unharmed and is mistaken for food by various sea creatures. For instance, turtles consume polybags, mistaking them for jellyfish. The plastic swallowed makes it difficult for the turtle to digest anything, hence causing death by starvation. The illegal release of industrial waste into rivers without the removal of toxic chemicals that harms the fish and causes a massive loss of life. These are also harmful for the corals in the oceans. The corals are depleting every day because of the toxins present in the water.
These environmental problems caused by pollution can be minimised by the ministries' by imposing rigid laws for illegal waste disposal. Companies that engage in this practice should face severe penalties. Put restrictions on the use of plastic, to limit the deaths caused by it. Moreover, the government should bring about awareness among the masses regarding the consequences that follow reckless behaviour.
To sum up, one of the primary causes of the world's biodiversity depletion and the extinction of a few animals is industrial pollution. Strict implementation of laws should be followed to lessen the impact.
