Model Sample Answer 1 Band 8 - It is a good thing if senior management workers in a company get a much higher salary than other workers in the same company. Do you agree or disagree?

Many people think that superior workers should be paid more as they are with the organization for a long period while some people are against it and say pay should be decided according to the skill of the employee and his determination towards work. I partially disagree with this statement that senior workers should have more pay than the freshers.

Starting with, if senior workers of the company would be paid more than freshers then they would most likely take work for granted. And would not work harder than before. As a consequence, they would not bring any type of advantage to the company they are working in. Because the junior workers who are working with them would feel as if they are getting less pay just because they have less experience than managers. 

Continuing with, knowledge is the most important attribute to determine the salary of superior servants. Because when leaders lack knowledge in their field of work, they may not encourage, inspire or motivate their subordinates. For example, a worker cannot help his junior if he himself does not have sufficient knowledge of work. As a result, subordinates will not follow the rules set forth by their superiors. Therefore, knowledge is a necessary virtue in determining the outcome of management activities.

To conclude, if the gap between the pay scale of workers and managers is more than workers would get demotivated and would do their best for the organization and a large amount of salary will also bring laziness among the higher post people.

In mostly all companies a manager or a person in a higher post is paid more than the juniors and other workers. Many people are in support of this trend but at the same time, some people are not happy with this business of the company towards higher posts people. I believe there is nothing wrong with giving a higher wage to a person of a higher post than a lower post.

To begin with, as senior managers and workers are working with the company for a longer period, they bring their experience with them. As, in a situation of danger, a senior worker can help an organization to come out of it through his experience, which a fresher would not be able to do. By this, we can easily say that senior workers deserve to get a higher salary than their juniors. 

Continuing with the post of a manager is not that simple that one has to look after his work only, it is very complex as many other employees are assigned under him as he is a senior and has the experience, so he would have to work more and harder. Due to this reason, there is a difference in salary between seniors and juniors. Moreover, a manager has to work more than all the employees as he has to coordinate with both his seniors and junior according to the post assigned to him.

In conclusion, as all the senior workers come up with the experience of being able to handle dangerous situations and resolve the problem in a minimal amount of time and also the more work they do as an individual, they deserve more salary to be motivated all time.

In a company,  a person having a superior position in a company is paid more by the organization than juniors. There are many reasons behind this salary difference. Some people agree that the difference in salary between managers and their juniors is a good thing but some people are against it. I agree with this statement that it is a good thing that seniors have more wages than juniors.

Starting with, if managers or seniors would have a higher salary than a junior then it will motivate juniors to work hard to achieve that position in the future to have a wealthy and luxurious life in the future. For instance, if a manager would have a salary of 70000 rs and his junior has a 40000 rs salary then the junior would try hard to achieve that position. Overall, this will be beneficial for the company only as they will get profits from this competition among employees.

Furthermore, due to the gap in the salary of employees, there will be competition among all the employees to get promotions from their posts so that they can have a higher salary than before. As a result, the growth of the company would boom and they will earn high profits. In the end, this will be beneficial for both employees and the company.

In conclusion, due to the gap in salary between employees, they will work hard to get promotion and also competition for the higher post will increase by which company will earn more profit and will have a higher position in the market than before.

Some people believe that managers should be paid more than the junior workers who are working under them while some people disagree with this opinion and say all workers in an organization should be paid equally. I agree with the viewpoint that seniors should be paid more than juniors as they bring out many qualities with them.

Starting with, the main advantage of the difference in salary of workers will be respect. All the junior workers who are new to the workplace would give respect to senior workers as they are the ones who have more salary than them and also they only will give promotions to them. For example, a managing director would be given respect by the whole office as he is the one who will give promotions to the people in the office and increase their salaries.

Continuing with, The main reason top managers want higher salaries is that they are often under a lot of pressure. While some might argue that most employees work the same amount of time for the company and should therefore be paid a similar salary, I believe the main difference lies in the many additional responsibilities these top executives have. These managers, who are now no longer humble employees, are people who make the most important decisions in the company and are responsible for every failure because of their decisions. Because of the ubiquitous role of executives in a company and the pressure it places on them, it is more than justifiable to be paid higher wages.

To conclude, as managers and seniors have more work than juniors, they deserve a higher salary than other workers as this would increase respect for seniors in the minds of juniors.
