Model Sample Answer 1 Band 8 - Nowadays technology is increasingly being used to monitor what people are saying and doing (for example, through cell phone tracking and security cameras). In many cases, the people being monitored are unaware that this is happening. Do you think the advantages of this development outweigh the disadvantages?
While some people may be unaware of it, many people believe that new technologies are increasingly recording people's conversations and movements. I believe that there are many benefits to developing technologies, such as increased safety for human life, but I also think there are some drawbacks to developing technologies quickly. In the following paragraphs, I will lay out certain sides of the argument and explain my own position.
Many worry that the rapid development of machines will eventually disrupt their way of life for a variety of reasons. The most significant is the fact that it has been agreed that AI would monitor all events throughout the planet, including those involving people, which will inevitably invade their privacy. Furthermore, we are increasingly observing the proliferation of telephone features that automatically record human voices in their phone or private chat, as well as human actions without the users' knowledge or consent. For instance, Android's phone call capability is designed to automatically record all outgoing and incoming calls, regardless of the owner's settings. Thus, this event stimulates the current debate regarding the limitations of intelligent technology.
Even though developing technology has various disadvantages, its benefits must exceed its drawbacks. Firstly, most people aren't aware that the automatically recorded programming on their mobile phones and cameras are designed to help in a variety of potentially life-threatening scenarios. When an urgent condition is detected, such as a slow heart rate or high blood pressure, the gadget immediately sends a signal through the phone call to the family members or doctors, enabling them to begin treatment immediately.
In conclusion, the advantages of using automatic recording gear exceed the disadvantages of utilising such technology. As a result, a policy that emphasizes the privacy of individual devices might be the most effective way to coexist with increasing levels of automation without endangering people.

Model Sample Answer 2 Band 7.5 - Nowadays technology is increasingly being used to monitor what people are saying and doing (for example, through cell phone tracking and security cameras). In many cases, the people being monitored are unaware that this is happening. Do you think the advantages of this development outweigh the disadvantages?
In the modern era, technology has progressed at a rapid rate and unquestionably delivers a number of benefits, but it also has negatives, such as facilitating the surveillance of what individuals say and do. This essay will consider both sides of the argument.
Numerous individuals nowadays feel insecure since tracking processes are designed to make it easy for people to watch their acquaintances or family members. Individuals being monitored may be unaware that they are being watched, which raises concerns about personal privacy. For example, we are continually assaulted with news that some couples may utilise this technology to track their partners via mobile gadgets. As a result, people may experience tension because they are terrified of becoming the next target of cell phone tracking by others.
Yet, the new technology does provide several benefits. To begin with, modern technology, such as security cameras, can aid in the prevention of crime. Hence, the crime rate will decrease. Today's police prefer to utilise surveillance cameras judiciously to monitor potential offenders and take prompt, effective action against them. Alternatively, this beneficial technology enables youngsters to monitor their elderly parents to protect their safety. By properly utilising this technology, children can take prompt action anytime when their parents require assistance or are in danger.
In conclusion, I believe that the benefits of this evolution outweigh its drawbacks. While cell phone monitoring has a negative impact on the lives of those who are tracked, there are also benefits. Without forgetting that a coin has two sides, if we can utilise this technology in a sensible manner, we will undoubtedly reap the benefits, and our nation will continue to thrive and prosper for decades to come.

Model Sample Answer 3 Band 7 - Nowadays technology is increasingly being used to monitor what people are saying and doing (for example, through cell phone tracking and security cameras). In many cases, the people being monitored are unaware that this is happening. Do you think the advantages of this development outweigh the disadvantages?
Technology has advanced to the point that it is now possible to control an individual's day-to-day activities without their knowledge. There could be some negative effects from these enhancements, but I think the benefits far outweigh them.
First and foremost, technological advancements have made camera systems more robust, extending the lifespan of monitoring systems. CCTV, or closed-circuit television, is a network of concealed cameras installed in public areas that aids investigators and police in solving crimes by reviewing footage from the site of the crime. In contrast, people feel unsafe when their cell phones are tracked.
There is a widespread view among the elderly that the expanding capabilities of technology are increasingly infringing on their independence. People feel unsafe and uneasy knowing that the government is listening in on their phone conversations. This means they are restricted in their ability to openly discuss and express their opinions on political matters. In order to avoid this feeling of being pursued and controlled, they want technological progress to cease. Overall, this digital surveillance can rule out countries and help humans feel safer in their daily lives in public, despite the fact that there are some downsides, such as the loss of privacy in public life.
To sum up, I think the positives of this change exceed the negatives. Although there are drawbacks to having one's every move tracked by one's phone, there are also advantages. Remembering that every coin has two sides, I would add that if we can find a way to use this technology wisely, we will undoubtedly reap the benefits and ensure that our country enjoys continued success and growth in the years to come.

Model Sample Answer 4 Band 6.5 - Nowadays technology is increasingly being used to monitor what people are saying and doing (for example, through cell phone tracking and security cameras). In many cases, the people being monitored are unaware that this is happening. Do you think the advantages of this development outweigh the disadvantages?
In the past few years, people have used technology more and more frequently. Now, some governments use it to spy on what people do or say on their phones, sometimes even when the people don't know they're being watched. I think that this kind of use of technology is more harmful than helpful.
Some people, especially people in power, think that checking and keeping track of people makes sense and has many benefits. First, they say that it is for the safety of the country. For example, governments think that with these technologies, they can fight international crime and reduce terrorist attacks, making their country safer. Some people also say that this way of keeping an eye on things will cut down on local crimes like burglaries because a thief won't steal if he doesn't know if he's being watched or not.
On the other hand, most people think that spying is when someone watches them without their knowledge. In other words, they always feel like someone is watching them, which makes them feel unsafe even at home. Social activists also think that this goes against the right to free speech and the basic human right to a safe space for oneself. For example, people who are in competition with the current governments or who don't like them might feel threatened in their own lives.
In conclusion, checking what people do may have some safety benefits, but I think it's the wrong way to use technology, and the downsides are more important and significantly larger.
