Introduction 

I am residing in a prime locality in the metropolitan city. We are provided with good amenities like vehicle parking, walking track,excellent roads etc. Along with pro’s we do have con’s in this area. The main issue we face all the time is Drainage issue.

What is the change?

Compared to the olden days there is a rapid growth in the population. Our City drainage systems were constructed long back based on the locality count in the past. Since the building is 15-20 years old Sewage system needs to be modified according to the present usage capacity.

How does the change work?  

By expanding/modifying the drainage system the cleanliness will be improved and can be putrid free. After solving the problem we will not face any issues related to the drainage for the coming years and our locality will be hygienic/neat.  

What kind of problems will the change solve?

Mainly during the rainy seasons because of this sewage overflow we face a lot of issues like bad smell, mosquitoes that cause deadly diseases like dengue, malaria etc.These issues can be solved and roads also will be free from water logging. 

How do you feel about the change ?

Being healthy is necessary. I personally feel after this issue is solved our locality will be marked as the most hygienic place in the city. We breathe fresh air and will be free from infectious diseases.

Conclusion

Health is wealth. So considering the problem as a major issue, I will write a letter to the Municipality office requesting them to consider this issue seriously and take necessary actions to solve the issue as early as possible.

Introduction

We recently shifted to an apartment in a semi urban city which is surrounded by nice greenery, fresh plants, etc. Basically it’s an apartment with a group of flats with good facilities like gym, parking, RO purifier etc. But until now we didn’t get a municipal water connection which is very essential.

What is the change?

Water is essential for every living being.Our County is 4 year old and we are utilizing the underground water resources these long years.Though we use underground water by purifying with the RO purifier still there is a water scarcity which can be solved with the municipal water connection.

How does the change work?

An increase in the population has also increased the pressure on water supply. This municipal water connection might solve the scarcity issues which we are facing during the summer/drought conditions. It will decrease the load on RO purifiers so that the machine can be utilized on a long run. 

What kind of problem will the change solve?

Water Resources are one of the insufficient commodities because of the unexpected changing weather conditions like shortage of rainfall etc. Since we are completely dependent on underground/bore water for these long years, the provision of this municipal water to each flat will fulfill their basic needs and reduce water scarcity. It also decreases the spread of skin allergies that are caused due to underground/bore water.

How do you feel about the change?

After the municipal water connection is given, usage of underground water will be decreased. This will help us to save our underground water resources for the coming generations which might be our savior during no water days. We can even plan for rain water harvesting which will be an added advantage during tough times.

Conclusion

People use different quantities of water for various purposes. So this municipal water connection is always the best way to fulfill our necessities even during tough times like increased population in our area,dry weather etc.

Introduction

• My house resided in the busiest area of the city. 
• Basic amenities like hotels, grocery shops, super markets etc. are available near our neighborhood. 
• But the one thing that is always missing is nice greenery/ plants to inhale fresh air. 

What is the change?

• Due to pollution, our environment is filled with a lot of pollutant gasses like carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, etc. which impose serious health problems when we inhale them.
• There is government open land in our colony which can be modified as a small park. 
• Planting trees in our locality will give us fresh oxygen to breathe and survive.
• And apart from this trees also provide shelter during summer from sun.

How does the change work?

• Exposure to high levels of air pollution causes adverse health defects.
• Planting trees in our locality might reduce the risk of exposure to air  pollution and when the days pass on our locality might be a part of the pollution free area.
• Constructing a small park will help us to enjoy a fresh environment and stay healthy.

What kind of problem will the change solve?

• Since we are residing in a traffic place we always inhale the smoke emitted by vehicles that causes serious lung diseases.
• Trees improve our air quality and make the atmosphere of the city more tolerable.
• Thus by plantation we inhale oxygen that they release and stay healthy for a longer time. 
• They even protect us from extreme heat during summer. 

How do you feel about the change?

• After the trees are planted and as they grow high I feel there might be a slight change in the weather as we may not experience more heat like prior before. 
• Walking under the trees by inhaling the fresh air might decrease the risk of respiratory infections.
• It may also decrease the birth defects among children which is a serious issue in recent times.

Conclusion

• Air pollution is a serious issue which was caused by deforestation. 
• It is our responsibility to rectify the mistake and make the next generations stay healthy, pollution free.

Yes, by recycling we can maintain a clean environment.We will be less prone to infectious diseases like malaria,dengue and other water borne diseases etc.It also lessens the amount of waste generated in the community thereby protecting our natural resources.
