Describe a product from your area - Model answer 1

Introduction

The product that was popular in my area is Punjabi Jutti. Many things are popular in my hometown, including accessories, clothing, and even footwear. Many things are purchased as souvenirs by tourists, while many are purchased as gifts by locals.

What it is, how it looks like?

One such product is a Punjabi Jutti. Jutti is a historical and contemporary sign of Indian origin. Jutti's has progressed from a conventional footwear company to a handcrafted ethical must-have. They are spherical or M-shaped and cover the front portion of the foot.

What is it used for?
Juttis go well with any traditional attire, such as a Sari, Suit, or Lehanga. Wear this lightweight footwear to a wedding or other festive occasion instead of your unflattering stilettos. Designers are now manufacturing customised juttis that match the embroidery or color of your dress to enhance your style.

How is it made?
The dried leather is sliced into several portions that are later utilized to make footwear. The shoe upper is either leather or fabric and is sewn and embellished with brass nails. Other festoons include shells, mirrors, bells, and ceramic beads. The shoe is then put together and finished by a craftsman.

Explain why your region makes it?
The curled upturned toe is a prevalent element of footwear in Northern India, particularly in Punjab, as is the gorgeous, delicate embroidery, which is still done entirely by hand today.

Explain why is it popular.
People all over the world like these slip-on shoes, which represent elegance, style, and culture. Their delicate elegance and handmade patterns are very well-known. Each pair of juttis is handcrafted by artists who have been making these shoes for centuries.

Conclusion
Thus Juttis are a popular product from my area.

Introduction

The product I could mention from my area is Pashmina Shawls. India is a diversified country, therefore different things may be found in different places. In my area, several products are highly popular.

What it is, how it looks like?

So here I might wish to mention one among them and that is Pashmina shawls. It's one of the preferred products in my hometown. I will describe it briefly. Pashmina is a popular sort of wool. It's one of the best traditions of Ahmedabad. Interestingly, Its textiles are first woven in Kashmir. Pashmina comes in different colours.

What is it used for?
Pashmina is mostly used to make shawls from cashmere wool. These shawls are constructed of a high-quality cashmere wool. After weaving, Pashmina shawls are brought to the Kashmir valley in northern India, where they are fully hand processed. It comprises all stages of production, from combing and spinning to weaving and finishing. To be honest, this project takes longer than others.

How is it made?
It is completely managed by hand by devoted craftsmen and women. Apart from that, Srinagar's old district is where most Pashmina fabric is produced. Surprisingly, it requires 180 hours to complete the entire process from weaving to shipment. Additionally, Pashmina shawls come in stunning, vivid hues and include wonderful needlework.

Explain why your region makes it?
I have been staying in various parts of north India due to my office work. Although pashmina may appear to be a delicate and light cloth for a shawl, it is the most effective at keeping people warm throughout the chilly winter months, especially in northern hill regions. The goods are not only produced for the Indian populace; they are also imported into other nations.

Explain why is it popular.
The most manageable alternative that will keep you warm and is renowned for its softness, in my opinion, are pashmina shawls. Overall, I like to wear this product, which is frequently well-known in India. They also purchase this kind of item when they travel to India. Therefore, this product is often popular in my hometown.

Conclusion
Thus pashmina shawls are a popular product from my area.
