Introduction: 

Speech is the  presentation of something, you have researched, organized, outlined, and practiced, to the audience or to the listener. Here I am going to share about the speech which I gave. 

When and to whom you gave the speech?

It happened during my schooling, when I was doing my 10 th grade, on August 15, after the flag hoisting my class teacher conducted a competition among my class students. On that day I gave my speech in front of my classmates. 

What was the speech about?

As I mentioned above, it happened on 15th August. As it is Independence day of India, I prepared a speech about a patriotic leader of India. Who is the most admired leader of the Indian freedom movement.

Why did you give the speech?

Mahatma Gandhi is the most admired leader of the Indian freedom movement, he played a crucial role in India’s fight for freedom from British rule. We all know a certain history about Mahatma Gandhi, but there are vast things to learn about him. So decided to gather the unknown information about him to deliver to the students. 

How did you feel about it?

As I planned before, I gathered and delivered a lot of unknown information about Mahatma Gandhi. Once I delivered my speech all the teachers and chief guest  gave a standing ovation to me. It makes me so proud.  

Conclusion: 

Not only Mahatma Gandhi, there are so many patriotic leaders who fought for our nation to bring freedom from British rule.

Introduction: 

• Special occasion speeches are given to effectively communicate the message and grab the attention’s audience. 
• Here I am going to share my experience in a speech given on a special occasion.   

When and to whom you gave the speech?

• When I was doing my final year of higher studies in ABC arts and science college. My department had decided to conduct an intercollege competition among other colleges.
• So my department HOD represented me to deliver a welcome speech to the candidates. 

What was the speech about?

• HOD sir, ask me to prepare a speech about our college and about our department.Also to introduce the guest’s arrival.

Why did you give the speech?

• During my mid semester, I scored better marks than other students in my class, so they selected me as a student secretary for my department.
• As it was a competition conducted by my department, so as a student secretary, my department staff gave this responsibility to me. 

How did you feel about it?

• It felt so great to give a speech about my college in front of the chief guest and my college professors, founder and principal. 
• Also it was a great opportunity for me to show my talent in front of others. 

Conclusion:

• Giving a speech in front of others will help us to boost our confidence and improve communication skills.

Introduction:

We have given a speech at least once in our lives, but we should not expect the best first at everytime. Here I am going to talk about my speech experience. 

When and to whom you gave the speech?

When I was in 8th grade, I participated in a speech competition. My school conducted a speech competition regarding our annual day celebration. Also it was my first time participating in a speech competition. I delivered my speech in front of some other competitors and the judges. 

What was the speech about?

They have allotted 2 topics for this competition: “Environmental care” and “Importance of Education”. From this I decided to talk about “Environmental care”. I tried my best to give the speech, but for some reason I loosed in the competition. 

Why did you give the speech?

During the annual day celebration, my school culture team has conducted many programs and competitions for all the students. In my class everyone has participated in different programs. So I decided to participate in the speech competition. 

How did you feel about it?

First i felt bad about my performance in the competition, later i motivated myself. After this I didn't lose my hope to participate in the next competitions. 

Conclusion: 

Losing teaches us how to win. You should not let yourself down. Try again and again till you win the match. 

IELTS speaking part 3 - Describe a speech you give- follow up questions 

In part 3 of the IELTS speaking test, the given time limit for this section is about 4-5 minutes, here the candidate will be given some follow up questions to complete within the given time. I have attended many speeches or lectures in my life. During my school days I have attended many motivational speeches from teachers. Also during my college days I have attended both speeches and lectures from my college professors and guest lectures. 

4. What qualities (attributes) should these visiting speakers have?

A good speaker requires many qualities, like keep engaging the audience, be ready to interact with the audience and be in-depth knowledge about the topic. 

5. Why do many people find it hard to talk to young children?

I think it is hard to talk to young children, because childrens don’t mature enough to understand what elders are saying. Also they are easily distracted so if  we try to talk with them they are easily distracted with other things which are happening around them. 

6. Why do you think many people are nervous before they give a speech? 

The main reasons are fear of failure, the audience's high stakes, and being the center of attention.

7. Why do people give speeches to children?

The main reason to give speeches to children is to increase confidence and self-esteem in children. It assists children to be successful in their academic pursuits.

8. Who makes people do so?

It can be done by parents, teachers, lectures, chief guest, motivational speakers.

9. How does the media relate to the speech to children in school?

Media plays a very important role in everything. For instance If any motivational speaker gives a speech to any school children it can be updated in any social media which may be helpful to other school children.

10. What are the four major of speech?

The four major of speech are impromptu, extemporaneous, manuscript, and memorized.
