Success is often measured by wealth and material belongings. Do you think wealth is the best measure of success? What makes a successful person?

Model Sample Answer 1 Band 8 - Success is often measured by wealth and material belongings. Do you think wealth is the best measure of success? What makes a successful person?

Success can be defined as the accomplishment of a goal by an individual. It can either be a short-term goal or long-term goal. In this contemporary era people determine that success is a thing which is owned only by the individual who is wealthy and affluent. Here in the following paragraph I am going to share my perspective about what makes a successful person?

On the one hand many people believe that success is often measured by the amount of money and possessions one has. On the other side, there is a belief among people that a wealthy individual is always successful. However, it is unfair to assume that an affluent person will always be prosperous. 

The journey to success is never-ending. There will always be numerous failures and many tries behind a success. It is impossible to determine someone’s success solely based on their wealth or material possessions. For instance, Thomas Edison is a great example of success, it took him nearly 1000+ failures to find the electric light bulb. But he never gave up until his success, to say his success is not measured by the financial return he got. However his extraordinary hard work, continuity  and dedication are the major reasons behind his success and these are set as an example for the future generations. 

To sum up, I believe that money can’t buy everything. It will always be life satisfying but never be soul satisfying. However, through hard work and believing in ourselves we can buy anything, including financial success.

Nowadays, there is a belief among people that being successful will happen only if we have more money and material possessions in life. In my opinion, I personally think that money is a part of success where it aids us to reach our goal. In the following paragraph I am going to share my reason for my opinion.

On one hand, I would agree that money is an important factor in achieving our goals. In today’s society money plays a supreme role in everything we do. As  human beings we need to pay money for all the things that make our life possible. For instance, if a young boy aspires to become a doctor, he would need to invest in a quality education to successfully achieve his ambition. Or else if a person wants to become a successful entrepreneur then he/she needs to invest some amount initially for their business. 

On the other hand, I believe that apart from money, there are two other crucial factors for achieving success. Firstly, hard work is essential. Secondly, consistency is key. To illustrate this point, I will take the example of a young boy. If he receives a quality education through a financial investment then it will not guarantee his success. He must also put some effort and maintain consistency towards achieving his goals even if he faces failures.

In conclusion, I believe that wealth is a tool in achieving success. However, there are numerous other factors such as hard work, consistency, self-confidence that also contribute to an individual’s success.

Success is a fruit of effort that cannot be measured by the wealth or material belongings of someone. We could not define someone’s success. People should know that money is neither good nor bad, it is just a tool to buy something or to give to others. If we believe that having money makes us successful, then it is a way for our unhappiness. Here I am going to share my opinion about the given statement. 

In my view, success holds different meanings for different individuals. For example, for a basketball player, achieving the title of the best player would be considered success. On the other hand, a student's success would be obtaining an A grade in their studies. This demonstrates that their underlying motivation is similar, but the way they define and measure success varies from one another.

From this point, it becomes evident that success is determined by one's effort and other factors such as dedication, luck etc, rather than solely by their wealth or possessions. While money may contribute to success, it cannot solely account for someone's achievements. Apart from this hard work, consistency, self confidence, focus, courage, ability to recover from failures etc these factors would make a successful person. 

To summarize, I believe that success will not be measured by wealth and material possessions. It will always be influenced by an individual's hard work or talent, in alignment with their personal goals.

In today’s era people often measure someone’s success with wealth and material possessions. However personally I believe that success can be measured in different ways and it depends on the individual. Here I am going to share my perspective about this topic.

I believe that success is not solely measured by our wealth or material possessions. Instead, it is determined by our achievements, personal qualities, and the level of respect we hold in society. For instance, there are wealthy individuals who may be happy with their lives, but their immoral actions prevent them from being considered successful. According to Forbes, character is the key factor in achieving success. Conversely, there are people who may not be completely content with their lives, but they find fulfillment in the respect they have earned from others, viewing it as their own version of success.

As previously mentioned, success is defined differently by different people. Some individuals perceive good health and popularity as indicators of success, while others believe achieving their dreams and goals is a measure of success. For example, actors and actresses may view becoming popular among the public as their success. Conversely, athletes strive to win in their competitions and consider it their success. 

In summary, I believe that measuring someone's success should not be based on the money and properties they have. It would be measured in different ways such as what they have accomplished, popularity, good health etc rather than the amount of wealth they possess.
