The Police Act of 1861: Describe a good law in your country - Model answer 1

Introduction:

The law that is good in my country is the Police Act of 1861. This law insists that a police officer should never be off duty. Now, I will talk about this law, its specialty, and its impact on the country.

 What Is the Law?

The Police Act of 1861 is an act where police officers are always on duty. Even though he/she is wearing a police uniform or casual.

How You Came to Know about This Law?

When I went shopping with my friends a long time ago, we saw a person pickpocketing an old man. He thought that no one was noticing him. But all of a sudden a person came near the pickpocketer and caught him. He shouted at him, and after that, I learned he was a police officer.

Whom does It Affect?

Persons whom he is legally authorized to apprehend, and for whose apprehension sufficient ground exists. And it shall be lawful for every police officer to get any of the functions started.

Why the law is Good?

The law was good for the country because people would feel safe and secure in the public place. Especially, in some public areas like shopping malls, rushed areas, etc, there will be no security for the public. Thus, this law amendment is impactful, so criminal activities will not occur.

Conclusion:

After knowing about the Police Act, I feel safe in public places.

The Explosive Act of 1884: Describe a good law in your country - Model answer 2

Introduction

There are lots of laws for smoking in public, riding a two-wheeler without a helmet, female foeticide, cutting trees, plastic usage, etc. I think the good law in my country is the Gas Cylinder Rules of 2004 and the Explosives Act of 1884.

 What Is the Law?

In states and cities of India, we have heard many news about cylinders exploding. Because of this many people were getting injured.  If that cylinder exploding occurs accidently then the LPG customers can get insurance up to 40 lakhs.

How You Came to Know about this Law?

When I was doing my postgraduate, in my last semester I was given fieldwork in a slum area. During my fieldwork, I just interacted with the people who were living there. A girl who was 20 years old told me about the incident that occurred there. I’ve discussed this incident with my lawyer friend and she said about this law, and this helps them to claim from the gas office.

Whom does it Affect?

Most of the time we hear that the cylinder explodes near schools or a particular community. Hence, the agency should be aware of the surroundings they keep their cylinders. They should not fill your gas tank to the brim.

Why is it Good?

This law is good because there is no fault on the public who were affected by the explosion, only the LPG gas office should be responsible for the explosion occurrence.

Conclusion:

Many people do not know about this law at all. But this law gives you great benefits in case of an accidental explosion of the cylinder.

When I was working in the office, my colleague took maternity leave, so I came to know about this. After that, I heard about this in many common places like government offices and also in private offices.

Whom does it Affect?

This Maternity Act affects the organizations that heavily depend on the women who work in higher positions, as they can take leave for up to 6 months.
