Introduction

Whether we like them or not, we all watch numerous advertisements in TV and computers every day. And while some of these commercials are simply uninteresting, others are merely average, and a few are incredibly creative and interesting.

When and where you saw it

One such advertisement had a theme that really appealed to me—it talked about the unrivaled contributions mothers make to their children. In the past few months, I watched it. The advertisement was broadcast in honor of "Mother's Day" and was not intended to advertise any goods or services. This advertisement, which I saw three to four days prior to Mother's Day last year, was sponsored by the health department's Ministry of Child and mother care.

What was advertised?

This advertisement was very original and different from the majority of other ones that promote, boast about, or advertise products. Instead, it was a tribute to mothers and a reminder of a well-known fact. It explained that being a mother is the hardest job in the world. Mothers give their babies the best care they are capable of giving. To properly care for the children, they make sacrifices for their own happiness and time. They don't have anything or anyone in the world to compare what they do to. Our survival would not have been possible without their love.

Explain why you remember it well

I saw this advertisement on the (name a TV station here) channel. This was a clever advertisement that accomplished what it set out to do, which was to serve as a reminder of the value and affection our mothers have for us. Prior to showcasing some accomplished individuals, it featured mothers caring for and encouraging their children to lead honorable lives. It was a commercial honoring all mothers worldwide.

Introduction

Every day, we are inundated with a wide variety of advertisements. Advertising always has a way to get our attention, whether it be in a newspaper, on television, or on social media sites like Facebook or LinkedIn.

When and where you saw it
The Tech Fest was one of the most common advertisements I have seen over the last few days. I scroll down my newsfeeds board on Facebook almost every 30 minutes to stay up to date on all of the most recent activities on my social network. I know there are better things I could be doing, but I just can't control myself. Consequently, the fact that Tech Fest advertisements kept appearing in my newsfeed really caught my attention. This news was also spread by a few of my friends. I went to their website to learn more about the gig because it piqued my interest so much.

What was advertised?
It is, in my opinion, a two-day global technology and investment conference for entrepreneurs and business executives. In a time when technological disruptions are influencing almost every industry, the event aims to connect with foreign investors, raise funding opportunities, and grow the tech and startup community. The event will provide attendees with inspiration and food for thought thanks to some of the most brilliant and distinguished speakers.

Explain why you remember it well
It was a really helpful advertisement in my opinion because this major tech event represented a fantastic opportunity for young, talented engineers, developers, and businesspeople who are constantly striving for a better future and a better life both within [your country] and abroad. I will undoubtedly attend to take in the atmosphere and explore the many opportunities in this developing industry if I can arrange my schedule and afford the tickets.

Introduction

While watching television or browsing the internet, we encounter numerous advertisements. I used to either find advertisements boring, so I didn't pay them much attention.

When and where you saw it
I recently noticed a Vicks advertisement while watching videos on YouTube. A transgender woman activist and her adopted daughter were the subjects of a brief story.

What was advertised?
Vicks, a P&G-owned brand of cold and cough medicine, recently aired a short story titled "Touch of Care." The commercial delivered a clear message regarding transgender rights and adoption. The video opens with a daughter and her transgender mother driving to boarding school and talking about all the special moments they've shared so far. Despite her mother's desire for her to pursue a career in medicine, the daughter's ambition is to become a lawyer. The focus of this brief digital film was on a mother and daughter who had a strong bond despite society's opposition to such an unadulterated relationship. Adopted daughter Gayatri wanted to study law and fight against transgender people in India receiving unfair legal treatment. The young orphan innocently inquires of society why her mother is denied fundamental rights when everyone else enjoys them. This innocent child's query serves as a sobering reminder of the kind of culture we live in.

Explain why you remember it well
This particular advertisement has stuck in my mind, mostly because of the stigma it conveys. Even after the Supreme Court approved a transgender law, Indian society still discriminates against and degrades these individuals. The campaign was successful enough to convey a strong moral in the nearly two-minute-long advertisement.

Introduction
Nowadays, everyone is aware that all well-known businesses use advertisements to market their goods. These advertisements can take many different forms, including those on television, the internet, and newspapers. Personally, I like to read and watch advertisements everywhere I go because they offer a variety of information.

When and where you saw it
However, I would like to talk about a commercial that I clearly recall here. I find it interesting that my favorite advertisement is for city hospitals. I can still picture myself watching the local music channel at home one month ago. I saw the advertisement for the newest city hospital during the commercial break.

What was advertised?
In addition, two young girls and boys talked about this hospital with one another in this advertisement. He informed her that the local hospital had just opened. This hospital offers a wide range of services to its patients, including heart operations, kidney transplants, all types of surgeries, blood banks, and free medical care to those living below the poverty line. Additionally, she told the locals about it afterward. We no longer need to travel outside the city for better care or in the event of an emergency. This hospital has free patient parking and a fully functional air conditioning system.

Explain why you remember it well
Additionally, I found this advertisement to be very helpful for everyone in my city when I first saw it. I was overjoyed at the time because it marked a significant change for my small town. I suddenly realized that we no longer needed to travel outside for better care at that point. Prior to that, everyone traveled to Ludhiana or Chandigarh for cutting-edge medical care for serious illnesses. However, we currently receive the best care in ours. I can recall the advertisement because of this.

IELTS speaking part 3 - Describe an advertisement that you remember - Follow up questions

The following are the follow-up questions for the topic “Describe an advertisement that you remember”. The IELTS speaking part 3 - follow up question session is conducted for 4-5 minutes and it will be based on your given answer in the IELTS speaking part 2.

Question 1: Why do some people hate advertisements?

Answer: There are probably a few causes, but I believe the primary one is that there are simply too many advertisements. Imagine how annoying it is to have your favorite TV show interrupted and forced to sit through 15 minutes of commercials. Additionally, a lot of movie plots are influenced by advertising and must feature the sponsors' goods, which frequently makes the plot seem compelled and illogical.

Question 2: Describe an advert you once saw that was very effective.

Answer: It was during this period that the rate of female infanticide peaked. The government produced an advertisement featuring Bollywood's top stars in which each actor discussed the value of women in the world and begged people to stop killing unborn girls. The advertisement was very successful in raising awareness among the illiterate, and the rate of female infanticide actually decreased.

Question 3: Do people usually buy things after seeing them advertised?

Answer: Yes, I do think so. If not, businesses would stop investing so much money in advertising. Since advertisements frequently exaggerate how effective a product is, they frequently have a significant impact on consumers' purchasing decisions. As seen in numerous advertisements for electronic devices, businesses frequently feature the sexiest, most alluring offers and promotions in their advertisements.

Question 4: Are people more influenced by TV advertisements or Internet advertisements?

Answer: It probably depends. Young people may be more influenced by advertisements on YouTube or pop-up ads on many websites because they spend more time online. When it comes to older audiences, TV commercials do have a slight advantage. Additionally, unlike YouTube commercials, TV advertisements cannot be skipped, which is another benefit.

Question 5: Describe an advertisement that influenced you to buy a product.

Answer: It was a dishwashing liquid advertisement. It included a famous chef who explained how the dish soap made his cooking utensils sparkle. He demonstrated how something that was made with ghee and cooked over high heat in a copper-bottomed pot burned. He then demonstrated to us how all of it was removed using the dishwashing liquid. I was so impressed that I bought it the following day.

Question 6: What do you think is the purpose of advertisements?

Answer: Indeed, advertisements are crucial and beneficial to every country's economy. Advertisements provide customers with accurate information about a product and then persuade them to buy it. In addition to that, the main reason businesses run advertisements is to guarantee and provide complete information about the ingredients used in the product.

Question 7: Do you think it is bad for children?

Answer: No, in my opinion, because it's a great way to learn about the newest products on the market as well as cutting-edge technology. With it, children can develop and fit into modern society with ease. Additionally, parents have a duty to know everything about their kids, including what they watch and notice around the house and at school.
