Development of technologies leads to a decline in the crime rate. Technologies such as data gathering, surveillance cameras, GPS tracing, facial recognition, heat sensors etc. played a major role in declining crime rates. Here I am going to share about some incidents and how crime rates are declining due to technology improvement.

The percentage of crime in violation of traffic rules has decreased at present when compared to the past. Due to the improvement of technological innovations. Automatic traffic signal lights, CCTV cameras. We can also say these innovations are one of the reasons to decrease the crime rate in violation of traffic rules. Because in the past if a person violated the traffic rules like going in one way route, driving motorbike without helmet, etc. traffic police stop them and collect fines from them for their mistake, but some people leave without stopping. But now through CCTV cameras, traffic police can watch them in the place where they were and they send a message to their contact number. If a person fails to pay a fine within the due date, traffic police will seize their bike or car and hand it over to court, then the person should pay an extra amount with fine to get back their vehicle.

In conclusion, I would completely agree that advancement of technologies would help to decline the crime rates at present when compared to the past. Not only in roadways but also in many other places new innovations were helped to control crime rates.

The crime rate nowadays is decreasing- Band 7.5 IELTS model essay

Advancement in the field of Information Communication Technologies (ICTs), it changes society but also crime. It opens wide opportunities for crime. Unfortunately, technology has also allowed for individuals to carry out the act of committing crime from the place where they were. Here I am going to write an essay about why I disagree with the opinion that the crime rate nowadays is decreasing.

Yes, there are so many technologies that have been improved and it helps to decrease the crime rate, but it is also the one reason for the increase in crime. Technology has reduced manual work to a great extent and digitized data, which makes it easiest to access from one place.  With my knowledge, I can say that the increase in crime is due to advancement of technologies. A cybercriminal operates by hacking different portals and websites to access sensitive information, implant viruses and commit several other crimes. With the knowledge of hacking, hackers were using their skill of hacking to hack random people's bank accounts. Technology is now being used to contact people through group chats, and also spy on people. But people are not using it for the correct purpose, they use it to show their status, and sharing a lot of personal information, this information helps hackers to do their crime.

A coin has two faces, like that technology helps both the way to increase the crime and to decrease the crime. These are the reasons why I disagree with the statement that the crime rate nowadays is decreasing.

The crime rate nowadays is decreasing- Band 6 IELTS model essay

It is true that the crime rate is decreasing due to the advancement of technologies that are used to resolve criminal activities. Here I am going to write an essay about how the crime rate nowadays is decreasing due to improvement in technologies.

In the last few decades, the world has developed many technological changes in almost every aspect of life. Many benefits have come up due to these developments. Science and technologies were developed more, it helps investigators to identify the criminal easily. For example, if the crime of murder or theft happens then with the fingerprints, skin patches, and blood samples, the investigator can identify the criminal easily.

In the past few years back we have heard that lots of rap incidents and murder incidents have happened. But now with the help of technology the police have introduced an app named ‘KAVALAN. SOS’. This app was introduced by Tamil Nadu police on 30.10.2018.   If a girl is in a dangerous situation she can open this app and press the SOS button. Within a few seconds, police will get an alert and immediately they will take action.  When the app is introduced, they suggest each and every girl to install the app for their safety. This really helps many girls and womens who are going out for their work and studies. This app is not only for the girls and women, also the elderly can also use it for their safety purpose.

Though there are many disadvantages in the improvement of technologies, there are some advantages. In my opinion I agree that the crime rate nowadays is decreasing due to improvement in technology.

The crime rate nowadays is decreasing- Band 6.5 IELTS model essay

Technologies have improved much better than in the past. It  provides a more efficient way of working and helps to identify the evidence quickly. Here I am going to share an essay about how the crime rate nowadays is decreasing.

As crime has increased the equal range of technologies have also increased. For an illustration, an ATM card is one of the  new applied sciences that helps people to keep their money in the form of a card and withdraw their amount in any place. If a person needs to do shopping, it is not very safe to keep their money in their wallet. In that case ATM cards help them a lot. In the beginning of ATM cards people need to withdraw their money in the particular place where the ATM machine is there.

But now there is no shopping mall or shopping complex as a mini-ATM machine. It helps people to pay their bill in the same shop with a card. In advance people were using mobile phones to pay bills with the help of a few apps like ‘Google pay, Phonepe, Paytm, etc’. It becomes much easier for people, they can pay even in the small shops. With these improvements the crime of pickpocketing was reduced and theft of money was also reduced. Also people can pay their bills using credit cards.

However technology helps in many ways to reduce crime. We can see lots of differences in crime rate while comparing the present to the past. In my opinion, technology helps a lot to decrease the crime rate. The present to the past.
