The dissemination of news has a similar effect.

What it was about and who was involved?

Recently, my father and I have been watching a local news station together, and the segment we saw was about stocks. The explanations that were given in relation to the illustrations that were shown on the screen were beyond my ability to comprehend them. Therefore, I questioned my father about the specifics of what was being explained and the rationale behind it. He explained to me that the graphs in question were representing the values of shares and securities, which are the primary sources of equity generation for a variety of public corporations.

Where you saw/heard it?

To tell you the truth, I did not see it until right after I had finished my supper. My grandfather had already finished his portion; I have a sneaking suspicion that he ate more quickly than the rest of us on purpose since he appeared to be in a hurry to turn on the television. I had completed all of the work for my assignment during the school day, so there was nothing left for me to do when I got home. As a result, I became interested in what was going on in the world and followed the news on television.

Explain why people were interested in it?

People that take an interest in the news such as these might potentially profit from the trading of those shares, in my opinion. Even though I was too young to fully grasp the meaning of the notion, I was unable to suppress the need to learn more about it and ask questions about it.

Conclusion

That random occurrence, which consisted of me viewing a segment of the news, coincidentally made me aware of the limitations of my knowledge, in addition to the vastness of the variety of fields available in the market. As of right now, one of my primary goals is to pursue higher education in the field of finance.

• The news has a significant impact on our daily life. It shapes our perceptions and our theories about the world. 
• Having a solid understanding of the media might help us avoid becoming overwhelmed by the conflicting or unpleasant information we constantly encounter in the news.

What it was about and who was involved?

• Here, I will be talking about the news that was shown to us by a charity organization.
• The group had requested the school authority to declare an awareness program. They held the purpose of spreading awareness about animal violence.
• Each and every batch was allowed to attend the session where we were shown some clips of news about how cruel some youngsters have become towards street dogs and cows.

Where you saw/heard it?

• In the auditorium of my school, we kept seeing the same news report aired over and over again.
• There is a central air conditioning system installed in the building, and all of the school's activities, from contests to yearly festivities, are hosted in the hall.

• I believe that certain groups of individuals could follow these news broadcasts in order to just be informed of the gravity of the situation and to determine whether or not it is getting better.

Introduction

The capacity of the news not only to inform and entertain but also to give its audience agency is, in my view, the most important factor in determining the news's worth. The goal of journalism is to disseminate information to the general public so that individuals may improve their decision-making processes for the benefit of themselves, their loved ones, their communities, and the nation as a whole.

What it was about and who was involved?

When I turned on the news, I learned about the completion of a bridge that had been under construction for over a whole year. The announcement includes details about a number of different people who were invited. The Prime Minister was the most prominent figure present during the opening ceremony. The length of the bridge and the manner in which it was decorated were the two aspects of greatest interest to me.                                       

Where you saw/heard it?

I was aware of the opening date, therefore I was waiting with bated breath for this announcement to come over the screen of the local news station. Therefore, the news has been playing continuously since the morning, and the three of us, my mother, my father, and myself, have been watching it on the television that is situated in the main hall of the home.

Explain why people were interested in it?

It should come as no surprise to anyone that people living in a city are going to be enthusiastic about new buildings being undertaken in that city, in my opinion. Because of the construction of that bridge, a large number of individuals whose places of employment are located nearby were forced to go through areas with significant traffic.

Conclusion

The readers of local publications are kept up to speed on what's happening in their particular towns. Even if globalization is likely here to stay, it does not mean that local communities will no longer be the sites of events that are of interest to the public. Every day, inhabitants are impacted in some way by politics at the local level, which is why this topic is regularly covered in the local press.

• A theft had taken place in our neighborhood not too long ago, and we just found out about it. 
• Two burglars had just made a successful theft from a home that was only a few kilometers away from where I live.
• The fact that the house's owners were away on a trip around the world provided the intruders with a window of opportunity to break into the home while they were not there.

• This news quickly spread like wildfire, and every news channel immediately began covering it.

• This news was so famous among the locals because our neighborhood is generally considered the safest in the city, but after this incident, people's perceptions shifted, and they began taking extra security measures. 
• However, the appropriate authorities are dealing with this situation.

• Therefore, everyone in the area felt a sense of dread as a result of this news, but at the same time, it raised awareness, and people started taking measures to protect themselves.

IELTS speaking part 3 - Describe a piece of local news follow-up questions

Yes, I definitely believe that a habit of being in touch with current affairs is a must. Reading newspapers is a great way to increase one's general knowledge and will make it much simpler to have meaningful conversations with other individuals who frequently discuss current events and politics.
