Introduction

An alarming rate of global increase in pollution has made it one of the issues that refuses to move.

Where the place is?

In my opinion, there aren't many places on earth that have been touched by humans that are pollution-free. To avoid deviating too much, let's talk about Ambala, a nearby city that is the most polluted. In the state of Haryana, there are two separate cities called Ambala: the city and the cantonment area.

When you visited?

I last travelled to Ambala in January of 2021. People in Ambala are experiencing a wide range of health-related problems as a result of various types of pollution, including air, water, and noise pollution.

Why the air was not good?

Everyone owns a car or a motorcycle and commutes back and forth constantly in this allegedly most populous city in India. The amount of pollution released by trucks, buses, and other vehicles on the road is higher than what they are designed to produce. Air pollution has made the majority of city dwellers more susceptible to respiratory illnesses like asthma. In order to lower the AQI levels, Ambala needs to receive the highest priority.

And explain how you felt about the place.

As a result of the poor air quality, many people became ill and even lost their lives, and I was completely devastated.

Conclusion

A solution must be found as soon as possible for the issue of pollution. so that they can breathe in pure oxygen rather than diluted oxygen.

Introduction

Well, pollution is now a significant threat. Finding a place that is pollution-free has become difficult. I want to talk about a location today where I went and discovered that the air was extremely polluted.

Where the place is?

My friends and I decided to travel to Delhi during my XII year's winter break in order to see attractions like the India gate and the parliament house. These are Delhi’s well-known tourist destinations.

When you visited?

The trip took place in December. When we got there, our excitement completely dissipated. We had all been very excited to go there.

Why the air was not good?

Given that Delhi has a large population and a high vehicle usage rate, the temperature was 31 degrees Celsius and air pollution was at its worst. I'm from Chandigarh, so when I lived there, I never experienced excessive pollution; however, in Delhi, I had a lot of problems with tanning and other skin-related issues. Even I noticed that the locals weren't dealing with many issues. With that pollution, I believed they would develop habits. Smoke produced by the industries is another factor contributing to Delhi’s air pollution.

And explain how you felt about the place.

My friends and I went there for our enjoyment and fun so at that time we were happy but we cannot live there permanently. I hope the government will have some kinds of campaigns or TV shows to raise people’s awareness of protecting the environment and plant more trees in the city to improve air quality. So, this is the place where I visited and found air pollution.

Conclusion

Overall, I had a terrible time on the trip. It helped me understand the value of protecting the environment and taking action to lower pollution levels for a better future.

Introduction

There is no longer any place that is unpolluted. But in order to relax and escape from everyday life, we must take brief vacations in order to better ourselves and have a little fun.
I want to talk about Hotan here because I went there a few years ago.

Where the place is?

One location that comes to mind with highly polluted air is Hotan, China.

When you visited?

I was in the city a few years ago during the summer, and the air quality was very bad.

Why the air was not good?

I could immediately notice a change in the air quality once I left the airport. I could make out a layer of smog hovering over the city in the hazy sky. I had to wear a mask even in the high temperatures to shield my lungs from the contaminated air. While the smoggy air was undoubtedly a drawback to my trip, it also taught me to value clean air and made me more environmentally conscious. The experience of travelling to a place with such poor air quality brought home how crucial it is to lessen our carbon footprint and take action to stop climate change.

I found it difficult to enjoy my time in the city throughout my stay. The air pollution made it impossible for me to go for a run or partake in other outdoor activities without feeling its effects. I observed that many locals were also donning masks, and that both homes and businesses frequently made use of air purifiers.

Conclusion

My trip to Beijing served as a stark reminder of the harm that human activity causes to the environment and the necessity of taking action to lessen our carbon footprint. Although it was depressing to witness the effects of air pollution firsthand, it was also a worthwhile educational experience that helped me better appreciate the difficulties facing our planet.

1. Is there more pollution now than in the past?

Indeed, the population has grown significantly since then, and as a result, more and more people are purchasing vehicles, particularly cars, which contribute significantly to air pollution and make it difficult for the elderly and young to breathe and will have long-term effects on them.

2. In what ways can air pollution be reduced effectively?

The amount of air pollution can be decreased in a number of ways. For effluent treatment, the government may establish stringent guidelines. Only approved areas should be able to host new industries. The people must also follow the laws and regulations politely; this is not just the government's job.

3. Do you think the city is cleaner or dirtier than the countryside? Why?

In my opinion, urban areas are dirtier than rural ones. The primary cause is all the construction and new businesses that are springing up in the cities. The government's rules and regulations are not always politely followed by the industrialists. Effluents are not properly treated. Another factor is that cities have a larger population than rural areas. Therefore, there are more vehicles in the cities, which is increasing the pollution. Cities have higher levels of pollution than rural areas, including noise pollution. In light of all these factors, I believe that cities are more polluted than rural areas.

4. What can factories and power plants do to reduce pollutants?

There is a lot that factories and power plants can do to reduce pollution. Following the rules established by the government is the first thing they can do. If the factory has a chimney, for instance, the height of the chimney may be increased in accordance with the law. While more established industries can transition to alternative sources of energy, new ones should start with them. Pollution can be significantly reduced by taking these actions.

5. Do you think many companies have been forced to reduce pollutants?

Yes, a lot of businesses have been forced to reduce their pollution. The government's measures are not working very well because these industries, sadly, find ways to avoid the penalties. Companies begin to believe that they have permission to cause pollution when they pay fines.

6. Do you think the wind has any effect on pollution? How?

Indeed, I agree that the wind facilitates the spread of pollutants. For this reason, even though there are more cars in Chennai than in Delhi, the city has lower pollution levels. This is due to the fact that the sea breeze serves as an efficient entrance and exit for dispersing pollutants. Due to Delhi's lack of a coastline, all of the pollution is concentrated there.
