The candidate should talk without any pause for up to 2 minutes about the topic which is given by the examiner. Introduction: 

  Surprise is an emotion, where we can express it suddenly with tears, smile. It is an unexpected thing which we get from our friends and family.  

What was it?
   It was the most unforgettable surprise of my life. As I was pursuing my higher studies away from my family, one day my whole family came to my place where I was staying as a surprise to visit me. They stayed upo 20 days with me, those days are unforgettable.  

Where did it happen?
   My family member came to the place where i was staying. I am pursuing my higher studies in the city called Nizhny Novgorod in Russia. Which is the 6th largest city and second most populous city in Russia, I rented an apartment. 

When did it happen?
  I am not sure, but I think it was the middle of my 3rd year of higher study. There in my college once we get into the 3rd year of our study we should intern in an organization related to our studies. When i was working there they contact me to pick up them from airport, first was not believe of their arrival, then after some confirm, i went airport  to get them to my room. 

Conclusion:                  
  It is so hard to live away from our family, that time we realize the love which our parents and siblings showed.

Introduction:
    I Am going to share with you the surprise, what it was, where it happened and when, and then explain exactly why the unexpected happening made me so happy.
  
What was it?
   It was the most costliest gift from my friend. He surprised me with one of the costliest smart watches. He is the only one who never fails to surprise me during my days, and it was the most expensive gift from him so far.  

Where did it happen?
   It was totally unexpected, when we went shopping for my birthday in one of the famous malls in chennai. We casually went to the food court, he first surprised me with a small advance celebration with unknown members who came to the mall. He hid the watch in the cake. 

When did it happen?
  It was the day before my birthday in July. My friend and I went shopping and he surprised me with this watch. 

Conclusion:
  Friends are the one who never fails to surprise us for each victory or on our special day.

Introduction
   Surprises are always pleasant and often we dream of it. But when the surprises appear from the dearest people, it becomes more enjoyable.

What was it?
   It is a safety kit which I used for my sports. It has boxing gloves, knee pads, toe pads, and mouth guard. We use these safety kits while practicing and participating in competitions. 

Where did it happen?
  This gift was given by my sister. She was surprised by the place where my competition was held. I didn't think that she would give me this surprise. It was a very big surprise to me. 

When did it happen?
   It was the very big day of my dream. It is an international competition, which is held in coimbatore. I participated in the competition and won first place. I think she brought that kit after my participation. She presented it to me on the stage when I received my medals and trophies.

Conclusion:
     When the surprises are given by our closed one, it gives a kind of happiness. And it is always special.

Introduction: 
The whole point about surprises is that they can catch you completely unawares. You wake up one morning with no particular expectation that anything unusual is going to happen that day.

What was it?
  This surprise was given by all my classmates and my professors. They visited me as a surprise for my victory. It was really an unexpected incident which made me proud as well as my parents.  

Where did it happen?
   It happened in my home. It was a normal day, when I was doing my daily routine. They didn't even contact me or my family about their arrival. 

When did it happen?
  A year ago,  I wrote an exam related to my career.  I cracked my exams with distinction, and placed first rank in my college and university.  My professors and my classmates came to my home to congratulate me 2 days after the results were published. 

Conclusion
   Sometimes we didn’t know how to react to unexpected surprises.On that day literally the tears were rolling in my eyes.

   In this part 3 of the IELTS speaking test, the candidates will be given a few follow up questions to complete within 4-5 minutes. Here we have given some follow up questions related to the topic of describe a surprise that made you happy.  This will help you crack your exams with good marks.

  1. How do people express happiness in your culture?
      I think in all cultures, People express their emotions in different ways. Some get a smile on their face or some get happy tears in their eyes are the most common way to express their happiness.   

2. Do you think happiness has any effect on people? How?
     Yes of course,  happiness is a transmittable one, it changes everyone's mood around you. Happiness has been shown to predict positive outcomes in many different ways. Like good mental health, physical health.

 3. What would you do to make yourself happy?
      If I feel sad or if I face any issue, first thing i don't get it into my mind or over think about it. Then I do what makes me happy like hearing songs, eating my favorite food or going for a small ride with my bike.

4. How can people be happy?
    People can be happy when they focus on their work, they should not take any issues in their mind and over think about it. Also people should always remember that life has both ups and downs, but they should stay positive in any situation.

5. Is it good for people to be unhappy? Why?
    No, it is not good to be unhappy for both physical and mental health. To lead a healthy life they should be happy and stay positive.

 6. What kind of stuff should people do to be happy?
    Sometimes it’s hard to force the mind to stay positive and in such cases, meditation and deep breathing can help them to lead their happy life.

7. What brings happiness to people?
     People always feel that their morning should be pleasant to start their day with a happy face. Also people feel happy by getting appreciation for their each and every achievement even if it is small or big.

8. Are people happier now than they were 30 years ago?
    I am not sure, but according to me 75% of people were struggling for their needs and to lead their life. 25%of them only enjoy their life by having enough money to lead their life with happiness.
