Introduction

In our everyday life, we come across different kinds of noises that disturb us. Here I would like to talk about one such instance where a ceiling fan’s noise was raucous. 

Who or what made the noise? 

It was 2 years ago I was sitting in the examination hall giving SSC board exams. It was an old government school which had worn-out fans on the ceiling. There were 30 students attempting that and they were all disturbed due to that fan. 

What was the noise like? 

It constantly made a caterwauling sound which broke my concentration and I couldn’t properly focus on my exams. I believe that each and every student was disturbed due to that sound. However, we all knew we had to take control of our senses and outperform in the test, as everybody had been preparing for it for the last 6 months.

What did you do when you heard the noise?

It was unbearably hot so we could not even consider turning it off. I found it frustrating to experience such an issue during an important exam.  As our remaining exams would be held in the same class so when we heard the noise we turned it off and after our exams got over we all complained to the authority about the inconvenience.

How you feel about it?

At first, I was so annoyed with that sound but as time passed we all got used to it and we were so happy that even with that disturbance we performed well and scored good marks. It was a lesson for me that even with disturbances I can concentrate well in any aspect and perform well.

Conclusion

At last, the fan got repaired owing to the complaint we registered so that the future batch do not get annoyed with it.

Introduction

Due to the increasing noise pollution, it is very difficult for people to find a quiet place to enhance their skills and increase their productivity. Here I would like to talk about a situation where it was too noisy for me.

Who or what made the noise? 

It was an Indian festival called Uttarayan in January month where everyone enjoyed flying kites with their friends and family members. On that day, my neighbour's family was so excited that they woke up early at 4 am and started celebrating the festival. They were honking with an instrument which was in a trumpet shape and had installed a DJ system to play songs. 

What was the noise like? 

It was 4 am in the morning when everyone was asleep and they started making noise using those trumpets which was so annoying that we all woke up. Moreover, they started playing party songs with loud noise and bass which was so irritating at that time of hour that everyone got disturbed and started yelling at them.

What did you do when you heard the noise?

After all of us woke up, we tried to convince them to stop playing it in such a loud voice but they were so arrogant and excited about the festival that they did not listen and even increased the volume. Following this, everybody gathered at his house and managed to stop the music and told them the repercussions.

How you feel about it?

After that incident, I got to learn how important festivals are to Indian people. But on the other side, getting too excited and disturbing other people with that is so reckless. I believe that celebrating a festival or an occasion is their right but using it to disturb other people is not acceptable and strict action should be enforced for that.

Conclusion

Hence, at last, all things were settled and our neighbour learned the lesson. And that was the noisiest day of my life.

Introduction

Here, I would like to describe a situation when I was irritated in my life when a few children were making annoying noises.

Who or what made the noise? 

A few years back, my society celebrated Independence day, where all our neighbours were invited. My neighbourhood was decorated perfectly with balloons and confetti. The young children of my society were not interested in the speech given at that time, and therefore they started bursting the balloons.

What was the noise like? 

These balloons were filled with confetti, which gave them a little more reason to make weird noises. They all were fighting for the balloons. I would like to put forth that kids playing at such functions was unacceptable and must be curbed by their parents.

What did you do when you heard the noise?

As I was closest to those kids making noises I tried to explain to them the importance of that day however it had no effect on them. So at last I decided to take all of them to the clubhouse where they could play with indoor toys peacefully without disturbing the rest of the people.

How you feel about it?

I was really agitated and felt uncontrollable. I felt that it was their parents' responsibility to control and entertain their children. It can be understood that naive minds would not understand the importance of that function, but the parents should have come forward.

Conclusion

The members of the society thereon decided that all the kids will be asked to stay in the clubhouse as they are likely to not comprehend the depth of the situation.

IELTS speaking part 3 - Describe something or someone that made a lot of noise follow up questions

1.Where can people hear a lot of noise? 

There are numerous noisy places in the world. First would be the construction area as in developing nations construction areas are too noisy that they disturb many people along with that it also causes air pollution. Second would be the festival and occasional celebration as in India those are celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm which cause noise pollution.

2.What may happen when someone listens to very loud music using headphones while they are running or hiking?

When someone is running, hiking or doing any physical and mental activity, listening to very loud music can motivate them to complete their task while considering the future effects their listening power lessens as they get used to listening in a very loud noise.

3.What can be done to reduce traffic noise?

To reduce traffic noise the government should impose laws such as quieter vehicles should be used and modified vehicles with extra combustible noise should be prohibited. Moreover, noise barriers such as speed reduction and home insulation should be taken care of.

4. Do you think the world will be noisier in the future?
I believe it can go on both sides. If certain measures are imposed the world would be noise free in the near future. However, nowadays governments are corrupted. They use the money for their own good rather than improving the world’s condition. 

5.What rules should be imposed to reduce noise pollution in the near future?
Rules such as home insulation should be used to reduce the effect of noise in the individual house. Moreover, noise barriers such as quieter vehicles and roads should be altered. By implementing those laws in the near future the world would be noise free.
