Talk about something you enjoy doing in a group Model answer 1

Introduction
The group activity affords individuals the opportunity to move together and cooperate. It is useful in the initial stages of group development. I enjoy both working alone and in group activities. I have participated in numerous group activities; however, I want to focus on a university-level group activity which I truly loved three years ago.

What was it?
I was a member of an NGO throughout my time as a student. We used to construct homes for the homeless and offer them refuge. In addition, we used to prepare and serve food. I once enjoyed participating in this activity with my friends.

With whom you did it?
To participate in this activity, membership in the NGO was required. The majority of my friends were members of this NGO because we wanted to serve our community. Also, whenever I am free, my parents and I assist poor individuals through non-governmental organisations.

When did you do it?
In the past, we would often use one month of the three-month vacation between sessions. We used to attempt to finish these structures before the monsoon so that the people would have a place to seek refuge.

And how did you feel about it?
This provided me with a great deal of serenity. The activity emphasises both the desire to create homes and teamwork. Coordination is essential for every single individual. Our objective was not only to construct dwellings, but also to provide them with habitable homes that would not deteriorate under harsh conditions.

Conclusion
The smiles we witnessed on people's faces after they viewed the completed houses are irreplaceable, and I thoroughly liked this group activity, where I learned about social work and teamwork. Indulging in activities like this always gives me immense satisfaction when I can do something with someone/a group of people.

Talk about something you enjoy doing in a group Model answer 3

Introduction

A few years ago, I had the opportunity to do something in a group and make a valuable contribution. Now I would like to share that experience with you as it involves important discussions, learning, fun, and success.

What was it?
I've participated in numerous group activities, but I'd like to focus on one that I particularly enjoyed three years ago at the college level. I participated in a competition. It was a competition based on teams, in which three of us participated. The competition was based on science technologies which we can use to create our presentations.

With whom you did it?
I did this project with my 4 friends Kirtan, Adwait, Sankalp and Param. We all decided to make a social media website where people can interact and enjoy their free time.

When did you do it?
We were only given two weeks to prepare. The task is therefore divided into three parts. We gathered all information regarding the user interface's design, content, and algorithm in preparation for its creation. Everyone learned and contributed to the project.

I have worked on the backend, which includes the photo and video uploading module, as well as the login and registration module. Aside from that, we were required to create and submit this report to the class, so we each composed a speech.

And how did you feel about it?
We were finally able to complete our project and received high scores. Moreover, I felt extremely proud of myself because despite having a limited amount of time, we all remained a team and completed the assignment before the deadline. Also, I realised that we could accomplish anything if we all worked together.

Conclusion
I cannot forget that day because it has served as an inspiration ever since.

IELTS speaking part 3 - Talk about something you enjoy doing in a group follow-up questions

The discussion round is conducted for about 4-5 minutes where you have to discuss questions about a general topic or question on your cue card. You can refer to the Follow-up questions for “Talk about something you enjoy doing in a group” which are given below.

1.What characteristics must a leader possess?
There are numerous attributes that a leader must possess. For example, a leader must have good communication skills. A leader should be extremely prompt and patient. In addition, a leader must always take the initiative and motivate others to achieve any work.

2.What factors contributed to the failure of the teamwork?
Teamwork fails due to inadequate coordination and lack of adaptation, as well as an incompetent leader. In all of these, poor communication is the main factor behind many team failures. Other than that, factors such as lack of decision-making and empowerment also affect teamwork.

3.Should youngsters learn more about teamwork?
Indeed, teamwork is extremely helpful to children's futures and should be taught to them. Teamwork skills enable youngsters to coordinate effectively, which strengthens the team.

4.Is cooperation more significant than the competition?
In my opinion, Both are of equal value. Teamwork necessitates cooperation, which strengthens the group and enables us to compete with others. Similarly, if a person wants to enhance his individual skills, he must need competition.

5.Which do you believe is more important: individual growth or collective objectives?
Both are important. When a person works independently, he or she has the opportunity to advance, which boosts his or her confidence. However, teamwork is also vital because an individual cannot accomplish everything alone. Consequently, through teamwork, an individual learns how to adapt.

6.How to become an effective team member in the workplace.
A person is only a good team member if he or she respects and praises the work of other team members and works diligently at his or her own job and with complete dedication and integrity.

7.What abilities may individuals acquire through group work?
Well, I feel that collaboration, communication, and listening skills are essential. Working with others teaches us the value of collaborating to reach a common objective. In addition, we will be able to improve our communication skills because we will be required to share our ideas and opinions in order to give something of value to the group.
Also, our listening skills will be honed as we must pay close attention to what each teammate has to say and assess how we might implement the ideas to complete the objective. I suppose that working with others might teach us additional talents, but these are the most typical.
